The SIGMA MC-21 Mount Converter adapts your favourite SIGMA EF and SIGMA SA mount lenses to L-Mount mirrorless cameras. Mounted between the lens and camera body, the converter passes through all necessary lens data to optimise autofocus and aperture control. Camera functions such as auto-crop, chromatic aberration and distortion corrections are also supported.
When a lens is mounted onto the MC-21 Mount Converter, an LED display will glow to indicate if the lens is compatible. Green for compatible and orange when the converter or lens requires an update. The LED display will not glow if the lens is not compatible.*
*Functions may vary. Compatibility for non SIGMA Global vision lenses and other manufactures lenses is not guaranteed.
The latest version of SIGMA Optimisation Pro can be used to update lens and camera data within the MC-21. Its is a simple as launching the software and connecting the converter to a computer using the supplied USB cable. Lenses that require a firmware update are indicated by the LED display blinking orange every 0.5 second. A UD-11 USB Dock is required to directly update the firmware found within SIGMA L-Mount lenses.
Supplied with the MC-21 is a tripod socket that can be directly connected onto camera support systems to increase stability when using long telephoto lenses. The tripod socket can also be removed using the supplied tools.
High precision auto focus is can be achieved when set to AF-S modes. Please note that the converter is not compatible with AF-C modes.
