The ultimate twin-lens combo for APS-C mirrorless cameras /

These two ultra-compact crop-sensor zooms are the perfect combination for photographers who need an all-in-one solution with a fast constant F2.8 aperture, a portable design and exceptional image quality. The are an excellent upgrade to a standard kit lens that came with the camera.

The lenses offer a continuous focal range from 10mm (15mm full-frame equivalent) right through to 50mm (75mm full-frame equivalent), which covers almost every type of photography, whether it’s landscapes, portraits, travel, family, street, close-ups or video. Despite their size they deliver staggering optical performance, and the F2.8 aperture ensures fast shutter speeds and a blurry background when you need it. So whatever you shoot, this twin-lens kit, available for L-Mount, Sony E-mount and FUJIFILM X Mount cameras, has you covered.

Included with the kit is a SIGMA Protector filter for each lens, which will help keep the front elements safe from damage, whatever type of photography you’re doing. The filters are made by SIGMA in Japan from the very highest quality glass with no colour cast, ensuring that the quality of the image remains extremely high. The glass incorporates SIGMA’s Super Multi-Layer Coating that effectively reduces flare and ghosting, and the black-rimmed glass further increases performance by eliminating unnecessary internal reflections.

Please note that the kit box illustration above is for illustrative purposes only. The components will be shipping in their original lens boxes.

Exceptional quality in a compact package /

Collectively weighing just 550g, the 10-18mm and 18-50mm make an exceptionally portable twin lens kit that can be carried around all day without weighing you down. The 10-18mm is the world’s smallest and lightest ultra-wide-angle zoom lens for APS-C cameras and the 18-50mm is also one of the smallest standard zooms for mirrorless cameras ever built.

The outer barrel of both lenses is made from a strong and light polymer called TSC, which has a similar thermal expansion rate to the interior aluminium parts, ensuring a very consistent performance in all conditions. The lenses are beautifully built with a premium finish, and both have ultra-light but extremely strong petal-type lens hoods to control flare and ghosting. Both lenses have dust- and splash-resistant seals around the mount, and water- and oil-repellant coatings on the front element to keep the glass clear of contaminants.

ULTRA-WIDE-ANGLE EXCELLENCE

10-18mm F2.8 DC DN | Contemporary /

The 10-18mm F2.8 DC DN | Contemporary is the world’s smallest and lightest ultra-wide-angle zoom lens for APS-C cameras, covering an effective focal range of 15-27mm (35mm equivalent). With ultra-sharp optics, a bright F2.8 aperture and a newly developed push-on petal type lens hood, photographers can create expressive images anytime, anywhere.

The lens features a unique aspherical element that reduces the overall size of the lens and enhances image quality. An 11.6cm (1:4) minimum focusing distance produces unique compositions, with expansive backgrounds and pleasing bokeh. With a weight of only 260g, a fast AF stepping motor and minimal focus breathing, the lens can be easily mounted onto a small gimbal to create impressive video content for social media use and professional projects.

True to the core concept of the Contemporary line, these outstanding optics deliver the perfect balance of performance and portability.

THE ULTIMATE IN VERSATILITY

18-50mm F2.8 DC DN | Contemporary /

Small but perfectly formed, the 18-50mm F2.8 is the ultimate portable standard zoom for crop-sensor mirrorless cameras. With an equivalent focal length of 27-75mm on an APS-C camera and a fast F2.8 aperture the lens can be used for almost any type of photography, making it a Swiss Army knife of optics. It can also be used for macro-style photography owing to its impressive maximum magnification ratio of 1:2.8.

Autofocus is exceptionally fast and quiet thanks to the lens’ stepping motor, which can be particularly useful for shooting video or for capturing fast-moving subjects.

Weighing less than 300g, the 18-50mm is easily portable enough to be carried around for casual day-to-day shooting, but thanks to its outstanding optics, fast AF and wide aperture, it is more than capable of delivering professional-quality results.

SIGMA Protector filters/

This two-lens kit includes a 55mm and a 67mm Protector filter for each lens to ensure they are fully protected from damage out in the field. The weather-repellent (WR) coating effectively minimises flare and ghosting and has the ability to repel water and oil that can accumulate on its surface when shooting in challenging environments.

When compared to conventional protection filters, the WR coating provides ten times more resistance to scratches. Its anti-static capabilities help prevent the build up of static electricity that can attract dust and other particles.

Made in Aizu /

All Sigma cameras and lenses are designed, manufactured and assembled at our sole factory at Aizu in Japan. This domestic production model is unusual in today’s industry, with most imaging companies opting to outsource to other countries to reduce costs. But SIGMA believes that keeping virtually all manufacturing, processing and assembly in Aizu is essential for creating innovative, carefully thought-out and impeccably constructed products that meet the high standards demanded by professional photographers and film-makers around the world.

Sigma chose Aizu as its main production base in the early 1970s. Situated at the base of Mount Bandai in the Fukushima Prefecture, about four hours’ drive north of Tokyo, Aizu has an abundance of very clean water from mountain streams, which is essential for grinding and polishing lenses. Sigma’s founder, Michihiro Yamaki, was also drawn to this area for its workforce, who have a reputation for their craftsmanship, work ethic and attention to detail. Mr Yamaki’s son, Kazuto Yamaki, now the owner and CEO of SIGMA Corporation, has the same unwavering commitment to keeping production in Japan.

Today Sigma’s factory is more than 50,000 square feet in size, and packed full of some of the most advanced optical manufacturing technology in existence. So when you buy a Sigma camera or lens you can be sure that virtually every single component part has been manufactured and assembled by SIGMA, in Japan, with the greatest level of care and attention. We hope you enjoy using our products.
