Join us for an immersive SIGMA Landscape Photography Workshop, led by award winning photographer Gareth Mon Jones in collaboration with Cambrian Photography. Set in the picturesque location of Llanberis, this workshop offers a unique opportunity to explore and photograph some of North Wales’ most breathtaking scenery. From the enchanting Ceunant Mawr waterfall and tranquil woodlands to the Llyn Padarn and expansive landscapes, you’ll have the chance to capture the natural beauty of the area.

Throughout the day, you will have hands-on access to a range of Sigma lenses, allowing you to experiment with different perspectives and techniques in a supportive and creative environment. Gareth Mon will provide expert guidance and tips to help you enhance your landscape photography skills, whether you’re a seasoned photographer or a keen amateur. Suggested equipment /

Camera, lenses, plus a tripod and filters if you have them. A representative from SIGMA will be there on the day to provide help alongside Gareth. Please send us an email if there is a lens that you’d like to try so that we can make sure we have it on the day. 

Please wear appropriate outdoor clothing and footwear as this is an all-weather workshop. Check the weather before setting off so that you are prepared for changeable weather.

Please bring lunch/snacks as these are not provided. Make sure to bring a bottle of water.

About Gareth Mon Jones /

Passionate and driven, Gareth Mon Jones has won multiple awards including the prestigious Met Office ‘Weather photographer of the year 2019’. His most recent accolade was taking the first place spot in the British Photography Awards Landscape category, with his stunning shot of Fairy Glen, in Snowdonia. He was also the winner of the Peoples choice Outdoor Photographer of the year 2018, and finalist in the BBC Countryfile calendar competition in 2017.

  • Please DO NOT leave any valuables in the car or leave anything visible.
  • There are NO facilities once the masterclass begins please make a pit stop if needed before hand.

Accessibility

A moderate level of fitness is required and owing to rugged terrain this workshop may not be suitable for wheel chair users or those of limited mobility.  We will always try to accommodate people so please get in touch if you have questions regarding any requirements you may have.

FAQs

No. Please bring whatever camera and lens system you are using, there is no obligation to use our kit.

Some basic knowledge of photography will be useful, however photographers of all skill levels are welcome on the workshop.

We will be walking to a number of locations on the day, with the longest walk around 25 minutes in duration. Please ensure you have suitable footwear.

Yes! Gareth and Aidan will spend plenty of 1:1 time with individuals, as well as the group overall to ensure you are able to learn more about landscape photography and SIGMA lenses!
