We have confirmed that a small number of SIGMA 24-70mm F2.8 DG DN II | Art lenses may experience a phenomenon where by when focusing at the wide end (24mm), the lens may not be able to focus to infinity or may experience reduced focusing accuracy.

We would like to inform you that we will begin providing re-adjustment of the focus position free of charge starting today.

Please note that this phenomenon will not occur with SIGMA 24-70mm F2.8 DG DN II | Art lenses with serial numbers other than those applicable.

We deeply apologize for the inconvenience caused to our customers and all concerned parties.

This phenomenon does not occur on lenses with serial numbers are not applicable.

Confirmed Issue
Regardless of the focus mode, when shooting at the wide end, the lens may not be able to focus to infinity or the focus may be soft.

Benefit of the update
Ver.02
Compatibility with continuous shooting of up to approximately 120 frames per second has been added for the autofocus modes (AF-S/DMF/MF) on Sony α9 III cameras.

How to update
Please click on ‘For Windows’ or ‘For Mac’ in the firmware download page below, and read “Before updating” prior to updating the firmware. After the update is complete, be sure to remove the battery pack from the camera and reinsert it.
