Service and support FAQ /

Our customers generally find that the most convenient method to return a product for repair is to take it back to the retailer from where it was originally purchased. You can also directly send a repair to us by completing the online repair request form through your My Sigma account.

1. Login and complete the online repair request form.

2. Print copy of confirmation email with the supplied RMA number and include it in your returns package.

3. Include a copy of your sales receipt/proof of purchase if the item is within warranty.

4. Ship your item to us to the address below using an insured and tracked delivery service or via an authorised SIGMA UK reseller who can send it on your behalf.

We also offer a repair collection service for £28 (UK mainland only). Collections are handled by DPD and insured up to £5000.

If the product is still within its 1-year manufacturer warranty (or 3-year extended UK warranty) the repair will be free of charge. If the product is outside of the warranty period, or the fault is not covered by the warranty, we will raise an estimate upon inspection.  A repair will not be carried out until we receive confirmation that you are happy to proceed.

Our service tariff can be used to find out what lenses can be repaired and as a general guide to standard costs. All repairs have a six month guarantee on work carried out.

All standard charges include parts, labour, return postage and VAT. Prices listed are intended only as a guide and charges may be revised on further examination. If you refuse the estimate, we will return your product un-repaired, which will incur a £14.99 charge that covers administration fees and return postage costs.

There is no need to contact us directly before returning a product, however the online repair form must be completed and a return confirmation email must have been received before being sent. 

There are a few ways you can find the latest firmware for your SIGMA product.

My SIGMA /

If you have registered a product in the ‘My collection’ section of your My SIGMA account, you will be able to select the firmware update button. When you select your lens mount, you will be directed to the firmware download page. Instructions on how to check your products current firmware version and how to update its firmware will be provided.

If there are no firmware updates currently available or you are using a product that does not support user firmware updates, you will be redirected to the ‘no firmware available’ page.

Product pages /

Navigate to the products menu found at the top of any SIGMA UK webpage and select either lenses, cameras or accessories. Find and select your product, then scroll the downloads section. Here you will find the ‘download latest firmware’ tab. This will take you through the firmware download page where instructions on how to check your products current firmware version and how to update its firmware will be provided. Products found using this method are part of the SIGMA Global Vison range and includes Art, Contemporary and Sports lenses.

If there are no firmware updates available you will see the message ‘no firmware available’.

Click the link below to be directed to the SIGMA Global firmware download page. Simply navigate the menus and select your product and the correct lens mount. Products that have not received any firmware updates or products that do not support user firmware updates will not be displayed.

Find your product

There are a few reasons why there may not be any firmware updates for your SIGMA product. Recently released products may not have any firmware updates available at launch, or a product may not need any updates as they are not currently required. In most cases, you will see the message ‘no firmware available’ when there has yet to be a firmware update released.

Products that are not part of the SIGMA Global Vision range (which include Art, Contemporary and Sports lenses) and products released prior to 2012 may have not been designed with the facility to be updated or do not support user firmware updates. Please contact our support department if you have any questions.

Connect compatible SIGMA Contemporary, Art and Sports lenses onto a SIGMA USB Dock to update the lens firmware, adjust focus position and even tailor the OS function on compatible lenses. Christmas opening times

Last orders for guaranteed Christmas delivery: 2:30pm – Thursday 21 December.

SIGMA UK will be closed Saturday 23 December – 1 January 2024. Orders placed on the SIGMA UK website within this time period may not be dispatched until 2 January 2024.

The SIGMA UK office, service and support will also be closed.
