This category celebrates the interplay between light and darkness in photography. It invites photographers to explore the dramatic contrasts, patterns, and textures created by the interplay of light and shadow. From stark silhouettes to intricate chiaroscuro compositions, this category encourages creative experimentation with both lighting techniques and natural light. Photographers are challenged to use light and shadow to evoke mood, atmosphere, and depth. Images could portray the subject realistically or as part of a more abstract interpretation.
