SIGMA CINE and PL-mount lenses are widely used in the filmmaking industry and are full of unique features not commonly found on traditional photography lenses. The MC-31 Mount converter adapts these lenses to L-Mount systems, creating fully-fledged filmmaking set-ups.

Shim adjustments

The MC-31 Mount Converter has two shim adjustment points. (1) Shim adjustments for ARRI digital cameras can be made where the lens mounts onto the converter. (2) General adjustments can use the supplied shim kit to make adjustments on the converters rear mount.

All-metal construction for excellent durability

With an aluminium-alloy body (4), a strong brass mount and locking ring (5), the MC-31 boasts excellent durability. It has also been designed with a screw thread that can be tightened when used with SIGMA fp and fp L mirrorless cameras (3), ensuring an even more secure connection between the lens and the camera.

Support foot

The removable support foot (6) allows the MC-31 to be attached to a tripod or other filmmaking accessories such as a camera cage.

Suitable for various shooting conditions

With the screw thread removed, the stopper of the locking ring is released. This makes it possible to use the MC-31 with a PL mount lens that requires tighter mounting than the MC-31’s specifications, allowing the lens to lock securely in place on the converter. The markings on the upper part of the converter use the same luminous paint as the one used for SIGMA CINE lenses, helping make it easier to replace or adjust a lens in the dark.
